En el Parque Ecológico Biosfera El Cielo, los visitantes tienen la oportunidad de aprender y practicar lo que han aprendido durante su recorrido por las galerías. Además de promover el turismo sustentable, el parque se dedica a impulsar el conocimiento sobre el agua y actúa como un filtro de sensibilización con el frágil equilibrio de los ecosistemas de la reserva.
Los edificios del parque han sido construidos utilizando materiales amigables con el medio ambiente, lo que garantiza la calidad del aire interior y la salud de los visitantes. Su estructura arquitectónica se basa en criterios de ecotecnias y sistemas de construcción sustentables.
Los andadores, hechos con aleaciones de plástico reciclado con apariencia de madera, están elevados del suelo para permitir el libre tránsito de la fauna local y, al mismo tiempo, facilitar el movimiento fluido de los visitantes, especialmente aquellos con capacidades diferentes.
Otra característica destacada son las azoteas de los edificios, que están cubiertas con materiales de aislamiento térmico y acústico. Estas azoteas, junto con los techos verdes, ayudan a reducir la necesidad de utilizar sistemas de enfriamiento y calefacción artificiales. En particular, el techo verde del multi-teatro contribuye a la recuperación de una gran cantidad de agua pluvial, debido a su amplia superficie.
Además, los lagos artificiales estratégicamente ubicados en el parque funcionan como filtros termales semi-pasivos, refrescando el aire que ingresa a los edificios y proporcionando un entorno más agradable para los visitantes.
