El secretario de Turismo, Miguel Torruco Marqués, invitó a los turistas que viajarán por carretera durante las próximas vacaciones de verano para que descarguen la aplicación móvil de Ángeles Verdes, disponible en los sistemas iOS y Android, y de esta manera puedan solicitar auxilio mecánico y asesoría turística, en los 37 mil kilómetros de carretera de 199 tramos carreteros de cobertura.
El titular de la Secretaría de Turismo (Sectur) destacó que esta innovación tecnológica puesta en marcha en 2022, ya cuenta con más de 15 mil descargas, y junto con el número de marcación gratuita 078, brinda atención desde el Centro de Geointeligencia (CGO) “Alfonso García González”, nombre en honor al fundador de este importante programa, uno de los más longevos de la Administración Pública Federal, y en donde se ubica en tiempo real al turista que requiere asistencia, la unidad y elemento que acudirá en auxilio, y el tiempo en el que lo hará.
Indicó que las herramientas tecnológicas de los Ángeles Verdes, junto con la renovación de unidades vehiculares y la entrega de nuevos uniformes para más de 700 elementos de esta institución, cumplen con la estrategia de modernización de este programa tras 20 años de abandono.
Desde la aplicación móvil de Ángeles Verdes, los usuarios ingresan los datos de su vehículo, para que, en caso de requerir auxilio en carretera, el turista presione un botón que emitirá una señal al CGO.
Torruco Marqués informó también que se recibieron nuevas unidades correspondientes a la primera etapa en relación con la adquisición de vehículos para el programa de mejoramiento de la infraestructura operativa de la Dirección General de Servicios al Turista Ángeles Verdes.
Señaló que las unidades de esta agrupación cumplen con las necesidades básicas detectadas por el “expertise” a lo largo de estos más de 62 años de operación día a día en las carreteras de México, así se contó con la colaboración de técnicos de auxilio turístico de Ángeles Verdes que hacen uso diariamente de estas unidades, al aportar los conocimientos y necesidades especiales para prestar los servicios de atención turística y auxilio mecánico de forma oportuna, práctica y de calidad, sumada a la calidez humana que los caracteriza en la prestación de los servicios.
Subrayó que el Programa de Calidad y Atención Integral al Turista, opera de mejor manera con estas unidades, ya que cuentan con implementos y tecnologías como cargador para batería, cajones para colocar de forma ordenada y resguardar de forma óptima la herramienta.
El secretario de Turismo puntualizó que, con nuevas tecnologías, la adquisición de unidades vehiculares y los nuevos uniformes, Ángeles Verdes fortalece el cumplimiento de su principal objetivo que es contribuir a impulsar el desarrollo equilibrado de los destinos turísticos de México, generando confianza en el turista a través de: la prestación de servicios gratuitos de atención y auxilio turístico, mediante actividades enfocadas en tres ejes de acción:
- Brindar información turística.
- Otorgar asistencia y auxilio mecánico de emergencia.
- Apoyar en desastres provocados por fenómenos naturales.
Reiteró que de esta manera se fortalece la actividad turística y permite que se diversifique hacia las 235 plazas con vocación con que cuenta nuestro país, en cumplimiento de la instrucción del presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador, de hacer del turismo una herramienta de reconciliación social.
El director general de Servicios al Turista Ángeles Verdes, Alejandro Zúñiga Bernal, destacó que la corporación tiene presencia en las 32 entidades federativas de la República Mexicana, anualmente realiza en promedio 188 mil servicios, ayudando aproximadamente a 677 mil turistas, recorriendo alrededor de 17 millones de kilómetros, dentro de una cobertura de aproximadamente 37 mil kilómetros carreteros.
