El secretario de Turismo del Gobierno de México, Miguel Torruco Marqués, dio a conocer que de enero a junio de 2022, la Inversión Extranjera Directa Turística (IEDT) registró 2 mil 779.3 millones de dólares, lo que supera todo lo captado en 2019, que fue de un mil 254.9 millones de dólares.
El titular de la Secretaría de Turismo (Sectur) destacó también que con base en los Registros de Inversión Extranjera Directa de la Secretaría de Economía esta cifra supera la IEDT captada en todo el 2017, que fue de un mil 676.1 millones de dólares.
Indicó que la IEDT del primer semestre del 2022 representa un crecimiento de 303.4% respecto a la inversión captada en el mismo periodo de 2021; equivalente al 10.1% de la Inversión Extranjera Nacional.
Puntualizó que la IEDT registrada en el segundo trimestre de 2022, asciende a 217.5 millones de dólares, estando a 31.4% de alcanzar la inversión captada en el mismo trimestre de 2021, con una proporción equivalente al 3.0% de la IED Total.
Señaló que en el segundo trimestre de 2022, los principales países que registraron el mayor flujo de Inversión Extranjera Directa en Turismo fueron Estados Unidos con 160.9 millones de dólares, esto es 74% del total; Canadá, 41.9 millones de dólares, lo que representa 19.3% del total; y Colombia, 7.5 millones de dólares, un 3.5% del total.
Puntualizó que las entidades que captaron el mayor flujo de Inversión Extranjera Directa Turística, durante este periodo, fueron: Baja California Sur 93.3 millones de dólares, esto es 42.9% del total; Jalisco, 32.4 millones de dólares, lo que representa 14.9% del total; Quintana Roo, 29.1 millones de dólares, un 13.4% del total; Nayarit, 27.2 millones de dólares, esto es 12.5% del total; y Ciudad de México, 12.3 millones de dólares, un 5.6% del total.
Torruco Marqués informó que del primer trimestre de 1999 al segundo trimestre de 2022, se registró un flujo de IEDT de 28 mil 39 millones de dólares, con una participación porcentual del 4.2% respecto a la Inversión Extranjera Directa Nacional durante ese periodo.
Subrayó que el rubro departamentos y casas amuebladas con servicios de hotelería refleja la mayor participación con 15 mil 839.9 millones de dólares, lo que representa el 56.5% del total de la IEDT, y los hoteles con otros servicios integrados participan con el 22.5%, esto es, 6 mil 321.1 millones de dólares, y ambas suman una participación del 79% del total de la IEDT.
