La Ciudad de México se posiciona como el destino turístico con el mayor número de Distintivos “M”, al sumar 200 Distintivos vigentes (13% del total nacional), seguido de los estados de Nuevo León, Veracruz y Guanajuato. En conjunto estos 4 destinos representan el 40% del total de Distintivos “M” vigentes de un total de mil 500 en todo el país.
Al señalar lo anterior, el Secretario de Turismo, Carlos Mackinlay comentó que estos mecanismos garantizan el cumplimiento de protocolos sanitarios en toda la cadena de valor al salvaguardar la salud de los turistas y posicionar a la Ciudad de México como destino seguro y confiable a nivel mundial.
A la fecha 9 mil establecimientos turísticos se encuentran con el Timbre de Seguridad Turística, emitido por la Secretaría de Turismo de la Ciudad de México y cada vez un mayor número de empresas que reciben visitantes internacionales adoptan el Sello “Safe Travels”, que otorga el Consejo Mundial de Viajes y Turismo.

ENTREGAN DISTINTIVO A GUÍAS TURÍSTICOS DE XOCHIMILCO
En esta ocasión, con el propósito de ofrecer mejor atención y servicios a los visitantes, la Secretaría de Turismo (Sectur) de la Ciudad de México y la Alcaldía de Xochimilco otorgaron reconocimientos con el Distintivo “M” a 15 empresas del sector de alimentos y bebidas y que son prestadores de servicios turísticos en Xochimilco, además de otorgar cursos de capacitación a 39 prospectos de ser guías de turistas en la demarcación.
El Distintivos “M”, beneficia tanto a los turistas como los prestadores de servicio pues hacen posible el incremento de la rentabilidad, aumenta la calidad de los procesos y operaciones en materia de calidad higiénica, permite el desarrollo del personal de cada una de las Mipymes y logra la satisfacción del cliente al fomentar los servicios y permite que sea una herramienta de promoción de la Ciudad de México.
En la actualidad en el país existen un total de 8 mil 178 guía certificados generales, locales y por especialidad de acuerdo a SECTUR Federal, de los cuales el 37% se localizan en dos estados: Quintana Roo (2009 guías) y la CDMX (1000 guías). Después de estos destacan por su número Yucatán (716), Edomex (568) y Oaxaca (495).
